Ice queue

My second experience of Scottish skiing (after being turned away from Glenshee car park a fortnight ago because it was full) and conditions were as advertised: icy, windy, and drifting snow. But how good to be out in the winter sun after these dark, wet months!

It was also a typically British experience because of the frequency and rigour of the queuing. A cable car and some chair lifts might help ease congestion at Cairngorm, but I think people secretly enjoy it. They find it self-affirming.
