What's that blue thing?

Something strange has been going on in the skies. Some people in the North of the country (and a few in the South) have seen the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, over the last few nights, something which is rarely seen too far south of the Arctic Circle. Today, however, I saw something even more strange. Something bright blue appeared in the sky. Does anyone know what it is? What has it done with all those grey clouds that we are so familiar with? Will they come back? Is it some new Government plan? I think we should be told.
