God bless the NHS.

So I was walking through Stockbridge on my way to the Western General when this crow got all cheeky. Seemed to think he knew me and that I owed him something. When I turned my full attention to him, he changed his mind.

When I got to the Western General I was informed that the appendicitis case had gone home. Referred to the Western General at 11pm on Thursday by NHS24, operated on at 2pm Friday. Sent home at 1pm Saturday. Soluble sutures, a packet of painkillers and a couple of puncture patches. Seriously, thank goodness for the NHS.
