Spring

A blackbird has a nest, visible in the branches, in a tree just opposite my front door. He perches on the branch below it, singing for a mate. It's really quite beautiful.

So is all the blossom which is slowly appearing. I'm sure this is hawthorne - but it seems awfully early. I shan't be casting any clouts for a long while yet...
