NY through the ages

It seems like this little pocket in Downtown Manhattan (near Wall St and Battery Park) has a building from every architectural style since the 1700's.

The photo looks like one of those pop-up cards with all the buildings crowded in upon each other.

The pigeons seem to have voted on their favourite style, however the steep, slate roof doesn't look to be the most comfortable option for them.
