Messing About

A cycle down to the boat to check that tarp. Luckily George had already press-ganged a crowd from the yard into a work-party to go and inspect moorings so I was free to have a few natters and pick up the post - always an enjoyable activity.
Later, up to visit the mum; I took my iPad and went through some of the 730 glass plates taken in her home town of Gatehouse of Fleet around 1900 by William McMurray, the local postman.
And what a joy it was; there was one of her mother Evelyn with her parents and brothers, and one of her father Chris with his family (that's him seated 3rd from the left).
And thanks folks for the messages on my blip on Friday. Much appreciated.
