Three men went to mow

Relief! That was the overwhelming feeling at the end of this match. After a pretty drab first half -with 75% possession for the blues- it was a much better 2nd half. There was a hell of a lot of possession but not a lot of end product or even getting into the area to create any chances. West Ham defended very, very well and it was pretty clear why they'd won their last 4 games before this one.
But then up steps Romelu Lukaku with 10 minutes left to send grown men into each other's arms with relief...and then a nail-biting last few minutes.

As we were all filing out there appeared men with lawn mowers on the pitch.
I've got used to the ground staff forking the pitch at every opportunity and even the sprinklers coming on at half time even when it's been torrential rain all day, but mowing the pitch immediately after a game? Surely that's overkill?
