The 5:30 to Munich

Work mornings are planned with military precision, not a second wasted. However this morning two things got in the way - he came along as he need the car later today and it was surprisingly frosty overnight and I hadn't put the car in the garage - scratch, scratch.

Just made it. Sontheim is luckily a "rural" station. Firstly the car park is 5 meters from the platforms and although the Munich bound trains are on the far track, there are no bridges/underpasses to use. Simply have to walk over the tracks! A few hundred meters from the station, two young men were killed on New Years Eve when they drove over a non barrier crossing!

This is me running to get to one of the front carriages just as the train arrived.
