Fat buds....

I snapped these fat buds in Old Parsonage Gardens in Didsbury, Manchester. I think they are magnolia, I'll have to go back in a couple of weeks to check. The church in the background is St. James', Didsbury. It is one of the oldest churches in the city having been here for 100s of years though it did have a Victorian makeover. Those Victorians never knew when to leave well alone....
