Poohsticks

The mange-tout peas are getting to the height where they'll need supporting with poohpeasticks, the ordinary peas seem to have got lost and I think I'll have to sow some more.

This morning I noticed some twiggy sticks on a neighbour's land and decided to grab them before they ended up on a bonfire. I dragged several in each hand up to our field and pushed them into the soil as far as they'd go.

I'll have to go back tomorrow for some more so I won't bother washing my coat and gloves, which got covered with mud, but at least the peas are half done.
