Fighting against the Current!

The river in Pollok Estate was flowing at some rate this morning and this female Goosander was paddling as hard as she could but made little progress up the river - at times she seemed almost stationary. Eventually she gave up, turned round and, in the blink of an eye, was swept downstream where she joined the ducks and other Goosanders who were dabbling about in the less turbulent waters.
