Guinea pig medicine

Poor Big Sid has an abscess. He was a very brave guinea pig and squeaked only a little as it was dealt with by Dr Anne - a guinea pig vet trained by Mr Peter Gurney himself! Big Sid is on antibiotics, which taste a bit foul, but he doesn't mind as long as there's a fresh basil chaser. I need to keep his would open for a week, until the next visit to Dr Anne, just to make sure that the abscess doesn't re-occur. I have my fingers crossed that it's a simple abscess and it will heal quickly. The good news is that his teeth seem to be fine. Phew.
