Here we go again

We have been slowly renovating our house. It is over 100years old and most of the rooms didn't have electric outlets, it's what is called a plank house and there was no insulation either. So one room at a time, we've been ripping the plaster and lath off the walls and ceilings, having the walls insulated, adding electric outlets and light switches, and finishing with drywall. This is the next to last room to be done. It only has one outside wall, so we're only ripping out that wall and the ceiling. Our friend and his son will come and do the carpentry and electrical work, then Mr M will finish with the sanding and painting. It will be worth it when it's complete, but at this stage it's just a lot of work and a terrible mess.

We had a horribly cold day today. Frigid temperatures and plenty of wind. I managed to get one walk in with Riley, but we kept a pretty quick pace.
