Cadbury Castle

I went for a walk on the ramparts of Cadbury Castle this afternoon. The views were fabulous - a clear view over to Glastonbury Tor and out across thestill flooded levels. I hadn't been for a few years and it's certainly a lovely place to blow the cob webs away. The lanes to South Cadbury are steep sided, ancient tracks dotted with primroses and celandines as well as daffodils on the verges leading into the villages.
The photo shows the view looking South West over the village of Sutton Montis. The castle is really a Bronze and Iron age Hill fort only associated with King aArthur and Camelot from the sixteenth century. It's certainly very atmospheric though.
