The Stitching which is making me cross

This is another bit of this which is a picture I need to get done and out the way - it really is starting to drive me bananas. BUT progress is being made and I am beginning to see the picture when I step away from it.

When you finish doing all the wee coloured crosses, sometimes a pattern doesn't look 'done' till there are lots of highlight / outline stitches done over the top of them. This takes nearly as long as the original stitching sometimes. I have the feeling that's going to be the case with this one.

There's a deadline for this though and I've got only 11 days left. (Oh good grief, she says having realised that figure!)
