Celebration

A traditional Chinese dancer performing at the Centennial of one of the major parks in town. The land was set aside 100 years ago as a city park by a prominent local family. The park now contains large open space, the city zoo, art museum, rose garden, state historical museum, black history museum, tennis courts, paddle boats and a lake, a bandshell, and is the location of one of the largest art shows in the northwest each September. I'm a member of the Idaho Photographic Workshop and we photographed the day's events for the history museum archives. It was a lot of fun.
