Carham

Fishing and photography is a mixed bag. On the upside you can get yourself in some great positions for a photograph. The downside is you are loaded up with fishing gear and need both hands for the rod. Today I was fishing just upstream of two courting swans that gave a wonderful display. I was undoing a wind knot when they took off, flying straight towards me, clearing my head by less than a rod length. Even the pocket camera would have got the shot had I had it been ready but it was tucked down my waders. So I had to settle for this sunset over Carham where we're fishing.
