Knaresborough Castle and gardens

There wasn’t much sunshine today, but what little there was brightened the warm stone of the ruins of Knaresborough Castle in North Yorkshire and made the yellow and red flowers in the castle’s gardens glow. A close study of the gardens will reveal that the red flowers are set out to represent bicycles, in honour of the Tour de France Cycle Race, the start, the Grand Depart, of which is scheduled for July 05 this year in Leeds.
