There are some gaps between Americans and Brits that I don't think will ever be bridged; privatised vs state-funded healthcare, situation comedy vs Monty Python, 'erbs vs herbs. I reckon this is another; making gourd-based desserts vs, um, not.

After a top-off from G today's tinned pumpkin excursion was mercifully cut short, although it required some effort to prevent Gina from buying up the shop's complete supply. I'm not sure if there's a word for pumpkin-pie withdrawal, but she is definitely showing all the symptoms. I have yet to sample the results but I'm told that I'd better like it...or else.
