Serious Face

Found an old shoebox in amongst my old Uni stuff. Inside were a whole bunch of very strange little figures that I made years ago.

This one was quite sad and serious. It was rough clay and roughly made with the addition of a piece of black ribbon and something about it caught my eye.

What was I thinking when I made this, I really cant remember! I know I was fascinated with faces at the time always making them and drawing them.

I do see faces in the strangest of places in a pareidolia kind of way perhaps that was what it was all about.
