Cain

It has not stopped raining all day, so popped down to the Kibble Palace for a quick Blip.

This is the marble statue of Cain (1899) by the London born Edwin Roscoe Mullins (1848-1907)

The statue shows Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, crouched in anguish at his punishment for jealously murdering his brother Abel.

I decided to go in close and focus on this classic pose, with the head leaning on the arm and the leg.
