My Cardinal

This cardinal appears at least once each day. I can't always catch him on the feeder, he's usually hiding out in the large lilac bush nearby. He sits in the thickest part of that bush, then flies to the feeder and almost right away heads back to the lilac. And if I try sitting on the porch to get a better zoomed shot, he just flies away altogether. So this is taken through the kitchen window, but it's one of my clearest of him.

Still didn't hit 30 degrees today, but there was no wind so it made all the difference in the world. Mr M still working on the bedroom - spent a good part of the evening with the shop vac, cleaning the floor. The carpenters (our friends) are coming on Tuesday to start framing. We'll be going on Saturday morning to get the dry wall and 2x4s and start looking at paint colors. There is already a decent berber carpet so we don't have to worry about flooring.
