Arbroath Harbour

My husband's plans to go fishing on the River Tay were cancelled (again!) because the river level is over five feet above normal due to all the rain we've had recently.

Instead, we drove to Arbroath Harbour for a stroll in the sunshine, followed by fish and chips eaten in the car:-) They always taste better out of the paper and at the seaside!

We carried on to the Montrose Basin to look at the seabirds, but the most interesting birds we saw were the dozens of goldfinches at the feeders. Never seen so many at one time!

The weather veered madly from sunshine and strong winds at Arbroath to hailstones and sleet at Montrose and then back to sunshine on the way home. Anyone would think it was April and not March:-)

Hope you lucky southerners enjoy your sunny weekend, while it's more rain and snow for we northerners:-(
