Squall in the offing

Today's weather was either blazing sunshine and a stiff breeze, or squally snow or rain with gale force winds. So it seemed best to just stay indoors and look at the weather through the window. The clouds were very fleecy, looking like they'd just come off the drum carder. Songbirds were being blown around like dried leaves.
