Tonight was the opening of a mini-exhibition at the Creative Exchange for our Interactive Design second years at the Creative Exchange. It was a bit of an impromptu thing, the college had a schedule drawn up of exhibition times for in there and when the course which had been offered this slot decided it was too short notice to put something together we said we'd do it.

The students had their work for this year's YCN awards ready so we got them to set it up for A1 prints then put some showreel stuff on macs for the opening. They did a great job, even before you factor in the short time they had to pull the print work together.

We got a really good turn out even with the short notice too. This was near the start of the evening. And it was great to see ex-students, colleagues and industry people out.

It's on for another three weeks at the Creative Exchange if you happen to be down that way.

In other news there was a couple of other bits of excitement. Someone drove into Roz's car today. Roz is fine but the car is a bit mangled. Still the other driver has admitted liability. They were parked facing the wrong way and tried to do a u-turn into traffic when, by their admission, they couldn't see as the sun was in their eyes. We get a courtesy car tomorrow and while it's frustrating and Roz got a bit of a fright it could have been a lot worse.

Also we now have a functioning kitchen too. The fitter is back on Wednesday to do a last few wee bits and pieces including fitting the dishwasher, putting up a few tiles, fitting a last wee bit of worktop and connecting the hood. We do have a sink, washing machine, fridge, freezer, hob and oven though and all teh cupboards and drawers are in and functional.
