Today we visited a tiny wildlife park called Snakes Downunder at Childers, which is north of us. This man was superb and after a very interesting and informative talk on snakes, including the worlds' most venomous, which dispelled a lot of myths, it was off to the saltwater croc enclosure where he fed the croc and threw a large yellow inflatable in the water to show us the death roll. (Apparently Macca the croc likes the colour yellow as he found out when he went in the enclosure wearing a yellow mac). There was only a handful of us there, but it was the best talk and show that we have ever seen, done with dignity and respect for the animals. There is also a great bird sanctuary just up the road and we would recommend both if anyone is visiting Queensland.
