The Northern Lapwing

This is the Northern Lapwing, Vanellus vanellus, fairly closely related to Argentina's Tero or Southern Lapwing (Vanellus chilensis). Teros are everywhere in Argentina, while the Northern variety is less commonly seen - this is the first I have seen since I've been back in England and not a very good photo (it was a long way away).
