Our day started nicely. She slept til 7! We fairly leisurely got ready, and headed out towards the train. We have developed a bit of a Saturday habit of stopping for a mini cooked breakfast for her on the way. Today we "Ate in" rather than take out, and it was a lady we used to chat to who left for a while. She always gives Katie the babyccino for free - sausage, hashbrown, babyccino £1. Happy Katie and happy Mummy! Anyway, we arrived at ballet nicely in time, I pottered off to the coffee shop as I do during Saturday class. When I arrived back to the dance school, our bike was no longer at it. Third time in 18months. After phone calls to the police etc, and a sit down while Katie enjoyed the next class up, we ended up being given a lift home by one of the teachers.

The afternoon did improve. Katie's bestie from nursery has left and gone to a school nursery. They missed each other too much so they played together today. Normally, they fight or bicker like sisters. Today they played beautifully the entire time. They wouldnt even come down for cake! They created a wide scene of chaos, in their playing of schools, Mummies and babies, doctors, and then midwives (brooke birthed a girl, delivered by Katie after quite a long labour!) When Brooke had gone, Katie wanted to get straight out. Thankfully, we have a spare helmet (those were on the bike) as she wanted to ride her bike. We went a slightly different circular route for a quick little ride out before she decided she was ready for an early tea. We created a tuna & veg omelette-esque concoction, which she loved. We then watched something- I barely remember what, I was tired by then - and ate biscuits. She had a fabulous time with a pile of craft stuff, insisting she wasnt tired. When she fell asleep on the floor with a pen in her hand just before 7pm, I decided I didnt agree and put her to bed!
