Road Trip day 7

Today we drove from Moab, UT to Torrey, UT.
On our way there we visited Canyonlands National Park. Another beautiful park with magnificent views of the canyons. We were there early and drove to the back of the park (Upheaval Dome?) to have an encounter with a Ranger who would talk about the canyon and its history. It was very interesting and while I was listening, I took a lot of pictures overlooking the canyon.

We visited all the interesting places in the park and again took a lot of pictures. I'm surprised the boys didn't get bored with us, although they had their distractions by completing their Junior Ranger packet, available for all the kids/teenagers in almost every National Park.

Mesa Arch was really beautiful, but we had to be patient to be able to take a picture without people in it and it wasn't that crowded. Most people are taking pictures and they respect each others wish to take a picture without people in it, so we've had little problems with taking pictures so far. You take your picture, step back and tell the next one you're ready. The people over here were the first that didn't understand that rule. They were also walking in places where they were not supposed to be (Don't climb ON the arch!). Annoying!

Anyway, if you want to see a picture of Mesa Arch, Google it. We have printed ours on canvas and it hangs in our bedroom. The picture of today is the Green River overview. When I looked up Canyonlands on wiki, I saw they have a picture that's almost the same as mine. Well, I think mine is better, because theirs has more shadow areas.
Anyway...enjoy!
