Street Banners

It has been some time since I featured a photo of the street banners that are so prevalent during celebrations. Probably that is because there have been few holidays since the first of the year. Most of the banners hung for Christmas/New Years have been removed by the elements, except for these along Calle Adelita. Somehow this street that many, many visitors use to get to town has managed to keep their banners in pretty good shape. More than three months after they were hung, they remain bright, colorful and in good repair (mostly). I liked the way the sun was shining through the multiple strands of multi-colored banners this morning as I rode back from town and thought I would share.
