A Steinway

...at The Forge, Camden for Joseph Houston's performance of 'On Memory', a medley of pieces from a range of composers.

Mostly modernist in style - shapeless, tuneless, dissonant - it's not normally my thing but I thought I'd give it a whirl on a Sunday afternoon with nothing else planned. I'm so glad I did. I won't be putting it on my i-pod just yet and I don't feel inclined to hear it in a large concert hall but live in a small venue like The Forge - yes please.

The concert started with Luigi Nono's 1976 'Sofferte onde serene' from 1976.

I enjoyed this too but it's so much better hearing it live than on youtube.
