Canadian War Cemetery, Normandy

In the Canadian War Cemetery at Bény-sur-Mer in Normandy which marks the final resting place of 2044 Canadians who died on D-Day and during the early parts of the Battle of Normandy. We made it just before sunset, almost by chance, and spent a half hour or so wandering through the simple grave stones, reflecting on the sobering daftness of humanity.
