A spot of sunbathing

This poor seal was hoping for a quiet spot to relax in the sun. Unfortunately it picked a venue not quite far enough underneath Brodick pier when a crowd of people were waiting to get on the boat! Somewhat different weather to yesterday, probably why the seal was enjoying it while it lasted! Apparently Marvin Elliott's beautiful seal sculpture which used to be stuck to a rock just off Corrie was washed away in the recent storms, but washed up in Ayrshire, and Marvin has got it back and will replace it soon. But in the meantime, even better to have a the real thing! Also nice to have the internet again now I'm back on the mainland, as Mum's phone is still off.
