All the fish are swimming in the water

I thought I would create a still life today as there was nt much happening. So here you can see a fish that we bought from the British Museum before we moved up. A fossil fish Knightia alta ( herring) from the Eocene age ( aprox. 50 million years old) from the green river formation in Wyoming ,USA. We did nt buy it from the USA but from the fossil shop in Lyme Regis in Dorset an area famed for it's Jurassic coast line which is filled with fossils.
The last time we were there a giant dinosaur was being moved to be repainted.

On the right you can see a piece of Skye marble and to the left pieces of dead coral that we found on the coral beach at Breakish. Another great area to find or see fossils. We've had a great time in the past exploring the island where fossils can be seen embedded in the rock. We met a lady there in the Autumn who was collecting the coral to add to the pictures she painted.
