Grey Wagtail

Beautiful warm sunny day in Canterbury today.

I took lots of pictures, including lots of candid shots of happy people smiling in the sunshine. I've blipped this one though, because I was happy to see this lively bird on a twig just outside my house.

We have a lot of grey wagtails on the Stour and quite a lot of pied too around here; the naming of wagtails seems very confusing since grey wagtails seem very yellow and pied wagtails are basically various shades of grey, but I understand that yellow wagtails are much yellower than the greys if you get my drift. It's confusing.

Och it really doesn't matter - I'm not a twitcher.
