Faces in the doorway

MonoMonday - Architechture
Today's monomonday theme is architecture. This detail is from the church in the next village. On the face of it the church looks a fairly plain but typical English church, but at closer look it has this amazing norman doorway. I don't know what they are meant to represent...yet..Google calls!
