Sunshine in a Mist

A cycle home in the cold and the dark could not compete with a warm bed in the Ornithological Station, so it was this morning after breakfast that I made the journey home from yesterday's festivities. What a beautiful morning it was! I heard a little tap tapping sound of a nuthatch(?) in the trees above me when I was taking this photo but didn't manage to spot the bird in question.

After arriving home, I had a nice long chat with Cathy then went downstairs for a yummy lunch (cooked for me by my neighbour as a tribute to yesterday's Women's Day - I'm growing to like the Polish 8th March celebrations!). This was followed by a nice long walk in the afternoon sunshine.
