Natcissus 'February Gold'

All over the garden, under leafless trees, in tree stumps, along paths and the driveway, in the orchard, and in patches along the edge of the potager, there are Narcissus ‘February Gold' blooming. The Narcissus 'Tete-a-Tete' is perhaps more common in other gardens, but I found that they tended to peter out in our soil and exposure; I was told it was a virus. 'February Gold' doesn’t seem to have the same problem and multiplies each year in the little nooks and crannies, always surprising me (as I don’t remember all the locations in which I’ve planted them). Brave little things, these were bright and cheerful even an hour later when they were assailed by sleet.
