Winter Mix

Despite a springlike start to the week, winter and 3-inches ofl snow make a comeback across the Midwest. They call snow mixed with rain here, Winter Mix.

The snow was coming in a flurry,
and the wind was blowing hard.
It turned into a whiteout blizzard,
visibility was no more than a yard.

She was afraid of driving in it,
then her dads words crossed her mind.
He had said, " Find a snow plow honey,
and drive real close behind."

She followed one forr an hour or more,
missing all the muck.
And just like her father told her,
she didn’t get stuck.

But the snow plow stopped plowing,
and the driver came back to her car.
She told him what her daddy said,
and how happy she was so far.

He told her it was ok with him,
whether she followed him or not.
But he was through with Wal-Mart,
and next was the Sears parking lot.
