Finished Fairisle

The Current Mrs Creel finished the much-anticipated fairisle last week. Whilst doing it she also completed four scarves. She bought the wool from Jamieson's whilst we were up in Shetland. She indicates that this is the last fairisle she'll do until 2015. Check the detailed work on the wrist band - which I must say impresed me. Maybe the pose of the jersey is a bit too coquettish ?

We have another absolutely stunning day. I walked round to the old jetty in Swanbister Bay and saw tysties, fulmars, dunlin, ringed plover, blackbird, one pied wagtail. Heard snipe, a sky lark and golden plover. A few seals were swimming around the jetty. The ravens are back on their usual nest below the house.

CMC has gone across to Hoy for the day and left me a list of jobs. The first one is to weed the borders.
