hellebores

I always think these are quite mysterious flowers. We've got a patch of them that come up every year. They're growing in a dark corner under a tree in a very shaded position. Last year's leaves are maroon like the delicate edges of the pale lime green flowers. This one is called Stinking Hellebore, a rather unflattering name for such a beautiful plant.
