Street

I went to Street this afternoon to have my ears checked - all OK. Street is the home of Clarks shoes although they are no longer manufactured there. The factory site was transformed in 1993 to accomodate the first purpose-built factory outlet in the UK. The Clark family's former mansion and its estate at the edge of the town are now owned by Millfield School, famous for its sporting pupils.
Many thanks for the many sympathetic messages with yesterday's blip of Chip. The verdict is arthritis and the advice is no more ball throwing. You have to understand that Chip is an obsessive, compulsive disordered, retrieving nutcase of the first order. If he has not got a ball or twig or half a tree in his mouth he is one big unhappy dog. His total focus and mission is to drop said item enticingly at your feet and wait for some action. Life is going to be very difficult for him and us from now on. He is utterly lovely though!
