Carew Castle, Pembrokeshire

Another brilliant 'summer's' day - sunshine everywhere, and quite warm.
This is Carew Castle, which I think is one of Pembrokeshire's finest .
Dramatically located on the shores of a large tidal millpond, it was originally a Norman stronghold, but later a grand Elizabethan manor house before succumbing to the ravages of the Civil War.
You can see that Polly appreciates a bit of history and culture every now and then :-)

Viewed 'Large' works quite well.
