Master of the Air

A beautiful gannet turns gracefully above the sea at Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire. This RSPB reserve is filling up with seabirds returning to breed. It is one of the larger gannet colonies in the country and the cliff ledges are becoming busy with birds staking their claims to nests and a little bit of room to raise a family. The sky and the sea below the cliff are alive with birds.
We also had lovely walks on the beach at Filey and finished the day with superb fish and chips (and a fish cake and mushy peas!!)
