Gun emplacements

A glorious blue, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky day - somehow made time, before starting at Job No. 2, for a brisk walk by the walls in Berwick.

Stopped to look at these concrete structures on Windmill Bastion - there were quite a few more. Between 1891 and 1908 they supported guns used to train volunteer soldiers to defend the coast against warships and enemy landings.
