Peace

Found a parking space downtown at lunchtime alongside the national war memorial. The little hillside park is flooded by the accumulation of snow so I walked around three sides of it instead of up and over the steps. The torch-bearing woman atop the monument representing Newfoundland's willingness to serve is an imposing figure from every vantage point.
