Someone I've been meaning to photograph for a while now, ever since one of the neighbouring fishermen in Bullock Harbour suggested I call on her.

She was very busy, painting a boat's hull with anti-fouling, something that prevents weeds taking hold, but she didn't seem to mind shooting the breeze. Her family has been here for nearly a century, and she moved in (the the little cottage in the background) the year I was born, 1957.
