Dog rock

When we moved to our home in the village about 10 years ago, I met a charming resident of old at this pool and he told me many tales of his childhood in Schoenmakerskop. This pool is where he learnt to swim some 60 years ago, and this rock is known as Dog rock - clearly visible at low tide. I think it also looks like a seal - but dog rock it is and dog rock it will always be!
Co-incidentally the cottage we live in belonged to his parents, and hubby T's studio/gallery next door was his home at a later stage! So he feels he still has some shares in both places!
