The fog descended super fast this evening and I couldn't get the snap of the river that I'd hoped for. Instead, I got a shot of what is colloquially known as the giant's egg cup but is in fact a beacon, constructed to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Queen in 1977. I have vague memories of seeing it lit, but I can't think what the occasion was.

Not particularly happy with this shot - I think my ISO was far too high - but it'll just have to do!
