Test shot

I took new camera and new to me 135mm lens into work today to see if a Lunch Break would give me a chance to test the combo.

The shallow depth of field you get from this f/2.0 lens offers so much potential and I can't wait for this years Fringe to kick off. I hope that this lens on my new D7000 is going to deliver. I have much to learn and as the lens is manual focus I will be re-learning all the lessons I once new when I shot with film, back in the day.

The light was coming in from a lovely low angle. This meant that there was only one really pleasing side of the Royal Mile to shoot but it was giving that lovely warmth that you can get with light at this time of day.
